Construction quality inspection
Construction quality inspection, also known as building inspection, involves examining and assessing the quality of construction products or components against design specifications and technical standards through testing, observation, and visual evaluation.
This process is crucial in resolving construction quality-related issues. When there's a need for construction inspection, an independent inspection entity reviews the entire construction documentation, conducts on-site inspections, detects flaws, and proposes adjustments to ensure structural integrity, risk management, and safety measures during the construction process

Responsibilities of a construction inspection company
- Develop a work outline in line with objectives.
- Produce reports adhering to the approved outline.
- Assume responsibility for the quality of work.
Rights of property owners and managers:
- Assess the inspection company's capabilities.
- Request appropriate adjustments if reports do not meet requirements.
- Utilize the structure as suggested to ensure safety.
Steps in construction quality inspection:
- Step 1: Receive and conduct preliminary assessments to determine job objectives for creating an inspection outline aligned with client requirements.
- Step 2: Survey and perform practical experiments on-site.
- Step 3: Analyze on-site inspection results and evaluate outcomes.
- Step 4: Generate reports and address any queries or uncertainties.
- Step 5: Publicize the inspection report.
The tasks performed during construction inspection at a job site depend on specific cases. Below are some tasks commonly executed during on-site inspections (but not limited to):
1. Observing and inspecting the overall condition of the construction site to identify key structural load-bearing characteristics and defects affecting the structural integrity of the project

2. Inspecting the geometric dimensions and depth of the building's foundation

3. Inspecting the quantity and diameter of typical reinforcing bars using ultrasonic methods

4. Inspecting concrete strength using the Concrete Coring method on-site and conducting compression tests in the laboratory using the Mod.H200 concrete drilling machine and Bosch handheld drilling machine

When is construction quality inspection necessary?
1. Inspection according to maintenance regulations: Inspection of the construction at fixed intervals aims to timely detect signs of damage or deterioration during usage. This enables early measures to maintain load-bearing capacity and prolong the structure's lifespan
2. Inspecting determines the causes of structural damage in cases such as cracks, tilting, subsidence during or after construction, or as a basis for acceptance.
3. Inspecting the structure's integrity when extending the lifespan of aging structures.
4. Inspecting changes in the building's function: transforming offices into workshops, residences into office spaces, or inspecting for renovation purposes. ICCI will then inspect and provide conclusions: whether the change (or renovation) is feasible or if reinforcement is needed at specific locations for safety compliance."
5. Inspecting construction when installing additional equipment on floors / inspecting the structure of workshop buildings when installing solar panels on roofs.
6. Certifying the quality assessment of workshops upon customer request before placing manufacturing orders / conducting quality audits.
7. Inspecting construction quality during incidents like fires, storms, landslides, and other emergencies.
8. Conducting construction inspection upon request by competent government authorities to resolve quality-related disputes.
9. Inspecting workshop construction based on Investor's requests (if arising from practical circumstances).
